As a Data Quality Manager (focus on Data Warehousing) (f/m/d) at Lowell in the Data Management team in Essen
  • You will become part of a data-driven company and implement our data governance framework in the DACH region as a team, with which we want to make the quality of our data transparent and constantly improve it
  • You will lead our data quality analysts in the Data Management team
  • You will work with data managers from different specialist areas (data owners and data stewards) to specify data quality rules along our data domains in receivables management
  • You will help with the development of central master data such as mappings and metadata and act as a contact person for the data stewards in their maintenance
  • You will develop new standards in the areas of data governance and data quality management and lead the Data Governance Committee of the DACH region
  • You are responsible for the implementation of automated measurements of data quality as part of the ETL processing of our data warehouse
  • You monitor and expand the execution of automated data checks and identify measures to improve data quality
  • You will be involved in developing requirements for our data warehouse, plan and manage compact projects with internal or external parties, for example to further expand data quality reporting
  • You support the development and expansion of the technical DWH data model and the associated ETL processes with the help of a technical data glossary and data modeling techniques
  • Do you observe market and technology trends in the areas of data management, data governance and (cloud) data analytics
Join our team if you
  • You have successfully completed a degree in (business) informatics, business administration, mathematics or similar or have a comparable qualification
  • You have practical professional experience in the areas of data management, data governance, data quality management, data warehousing, business intelligence, data analytics or IT consulting or have gained good technical knowledge in receivables management, debt collection or finance
  • Have a strong understanding of analytical data architectures, enterprise data flows and data modeling
  • You have been able to acquire technical knowledge of relational (SQL) databases and are also interested in modern technologies such as cloud-based services for data analytics
  • ideally you have gained experience with ETL tools or BI tools
  • have very good analytical and conceptual skills
  • You prefer a very independent and responsible way of working
  • You feel comfortable in agile project work, so that Scrum, Kanban or Lean Project Management are no strangers to you and you have learned to translate technical requirements into technical implementations
  • You enjoy communicating with internal and external partners from IT, business or management as well as presenting results
  • You can demonstrate good written and spoken German and English skills (B2).
